Community Support programs and services provide a variety of services for people who are not only supported by, but who support, Community Living Toronto. Our members and volunteers are the backbone of our Association. That’s why our Membership and Volunteer services work very closely with families, friends and volunteers to ensure that our supporters are kept informed and involved in the Association’s activities and events.

For people with an intellectual disability, community supports such as Intake, Home Management, Adult Protective Service Worker program and assessment, family support and behaviour management all facilitate community living and participation on both an independent and family level. Through Pilot Parents, Community Living Toronto offers parent-to-parent support for parents with a newborn or young child with an intellectual disability, or are new to Toronto.

Community Living Toronto also operates the Foster Drop-In Centre, a place where adults with an intellectual disability can meet, participate in activities and plan outings with friends. The Clubhouse is maintained and operated by the people who use it, which creates an opportunity for increased skill learning and responsibility.
