Our passion and determination to keep the 3 regional centers open will only get stronger! The rally yesterday
enpowered both family and staff in knowing that the closure is the wrong choice!
If your true concern is the quality of life that our residents receive, then know this. We are not an institution! We
are a community with heart! I agree that 30-40 years ago the fascilities were not a very nice place to live. You have
talked with former residents who may suffer post traumatic stress disorder due to the conditions of institutional life.
When you visited you were looking thru a filter of how things used to be. How come first time visitors see HRC in
such a different light? Christie Blanchford felt it! What did she see that you didn't?
We are accountable for the care and treatment of all our residents. You too are accountable in making the right
choice in determining the future of our 1,000 residents physical and mental health. The closure will cause
depression, isolation and sadly deaths before God intended!
Have a heart! Show compassion! Let them keep their homes!
