| We had over 30 posters that spectator's held on to, to cheer our team on. Many people stop to look at the pictures, and some past staff recognized the resident in the picture. Other posters were hanging in our tent area. We also had 4 large picture boards, displaying the painted tunnels, pool, physio room, apt. and many of the fun events held at HRC |
| The picture Boards where presented upfront and centre focus area of the races. We had at least 5,000 spectators at the event, most came by to see the pictures. Many asked questions and wondered why are we closing such a centre of excellence. Many staff were unaware that we held this event - as the invitations and flyer's were held back from the staff. However, we met many staff members who were also racing, and others were just out for the enjoyment of the races. Our team was continually thanked by many through out the day. |
