On behalf of all of Huronia Helpers' members, we want to extend our sincere gratitude at the extensive support and
care all of you have given to our loved ones at HRC.
Your dedication, skills, and loyalty has given all of us a peace of mind over the years.
We want to thank all of you and pay a tribute to you and your excellent beyond duty care you have provided to our
relatives.
Our families will fight this move and give you back the dedication and hard work you have given to each and every
resident at HRC, through fighting this ill-conceived move.
We want you to know, we are STRONG, FIT and FOCUS on winning this battle. There will be ups and downs, but we
will fight till we win!!!
As you are now aware, we have pulled out the 'top guns' to fight this battle. Doug Elliot has an excellent track
record and is very knowledgeable in this area of government and sector of MCCS. He has successfully won the
Custody Battle for many parents of disabled children, who had to give up their child in order to get support they
need. This resulted in a 'scathing' report by the OMBUDSMEN.
I have no doubt, that if we work hard and positive, we will win this fight. We cannot ever give up. Our families are
organized and very dedicated. We have a strong teams and will continue to build and get better. The battle has just
begun.
TO HONOR OUR HEART FELT THANKS TO THE STAFF AND TO SHOW YOU WE CARE ABOUT THE DIFFICULT TIME YOU
ARE ALSO FACING, THE HURONIA HELPERS ARE ORGANIZING A SOLUTE/WAVE TO THE STAFF AT HRC, WHILE ALSO
FUND RAISING FOR OUR CAUSE TO KEEP HRC ALIVE.
ON SATURDAY, SEPT 24TH, WE WILL BE ORGANIZING A LINE TO STRETCH FROM HRC TO ORILLIA AND A 'WAVE' AT
11:30 AM. PLEASE IF YOU CAN JOIN IN - JOIN IN AND SPREAD THE WORD IN THE TOWN FOR ALL COMMUNITY OF
ORILLIA TO JOIN IN. WE WILL START THE LINE UP AROUND 11:30 AM OUTSIDE GATE 2 - BY O.P.P ENTRANCE - AND
WAVE AT 12:00 pm (WAVE IS LIKE ONE FANS DO AT A HOCKEY OR BASEBALL GAME). THIS EVENT IS BEING
ADVERTISED ON RADIO - WE SHOULD GET MAY PRESS COVERAGE
