M7A1E9 Huronia Regional Center   - Shirley Turnbull [our sister, and her family at HRC] Dear Ms. Pupatello Thank you for your letter dated Jan. 31/05 PLEASE STOP THE CLOSING OF HURONIA REGIONAL CENTER Have you been to visit HRC yet? If not why not? We have a few questions we would like to ask you and we expect a reply  as soon as possible. When our loved ones are moved to a group home are you going  to be there when the wheels fall off? Will you be there when they are locked in a cell like room for a time out? Will you be there when they need serious medical help? Will there be a Doctor and nurse on duty to handle the medical problems 24 hours a day? Will you be there when they are crying because they miss their family from Huronia ? Will you be there when one goes missing and when they are found dead? If you had a loved one at Huronia and you were told they had to be moved to a group home, what would you do? We would hope you would fight to keep Huronia open. Put yourself in our loved one’s shoes. You and this Gov’t have got to re-think this process.. Are you going to be able to sleep at night if you continue with this closure? Our family members at Huronia are very special people. They are taken care of with people who love them as family . Please , if you have a caring heart re-think this move. We look forward to hearing from you.
