Mary Centre
How We Help
At Mary Centre, we believe that people with a
developmental disability can lead full lives…if given the support and resources
they need. This is the essence of what we do. Toward this goal, our services
encompass residential support and outreach.
Residential Services
We provide residential services to
adults with a developmental disability in Brampton, the old City of York,
Scarborough and Woodbridge, helping each person reach his or her potential.
·
In apartment
buildings at Our Lady of Victory, St. Mary's and St. Peter's, 26 adults live
independently in comfortable, safe apartments with the part-time assistance of
Mary Centre staff.
·
Aberdeen, Greenbriar,
Leyton, Redcastle and Whitecap are cheerful Mary Centre homes in residential
neighbourhoods. Four residents live in each with up to 24-hour assistance by our
staff members. Residents participate in community education, employment and
recreation activities. Three of these homes house seniors. All residences are
wheelchair accessible and include special features to facilitate the comfort and
mobility of those who live there.
